3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Firkin Fest 2011. Black beer with a sticky brown foam that laces the glass. Aroma is sweet, and flavor has sweet berry flavor. Rich and heavy palate. I would call it a fruit beer.

2.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Raspberry porter drank after a Framboise to enhance the flavors...Bottle provided by Chris, poured into a perfect pint glass...Dark brown pour with a HUGE light tan head. Excellent retention, but no lacing at all???...The aroma is shockingly great, tons of raspberries with chocolate, reminds me a little of KRE. Combination works perfectly, but a little on the sweeter side...The taste is so bad, didn’t see this coming. Only light raspberries with tons of stale coffee and alcohol. Bad over carbonation as well here.
The taste kills this, not worth trying as it doesn’t live up or stay true to a great aroma.

Draft. Served at Firkin Fest 2011. Pours a dark brown color with a collared tan head. Blackberry and dark fruit notes in the nose along with dark chocolate and roasted coffee. Med/Light mouthfeel with nice carbonation. As I take a sip I am reminded of eating a decadent dark chocolate cake smothered with a sweet blackberry sauce and with it I am sipping on a coffee. This is exactly what this reminded me of. Starts pretty sweet and transitions to a light bitter ending.
