COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Elisha’s Olde Ale is an ale we brewed with Minnesota and South Dakota Homebrewers here in Lucan. It’s an excellent olde ale cracking 10%, brewed with molasses, and aged on lightly toasted oak. This is the winner of the 2009 Brau Bros SD Homebrewers Challenge. We’ll release about 100 cases sometime in February 2010.

2010 Bottle - Thanks tytoanderso!!! - Pours a clear cola brown with a small beige head...aroma is toffee and roast, dry fruitiness and dry malt, vanilla...flavour is much more bitter than I expected out of an old ale, burnt grain, molassas, toffee, dry old grain and only the slightest heat...

Pours deep ruby with thin off white head, aroma is caramel, nut, brown sugar, and molasses. Taste is sweet and thick with caramel and molasses overtones, finishing a bit boozy and dry.

Good aroma - deep brown black pour with a caramel thin head. One of the first 750ml from Brau - overall a solid Old Ale with not over powering alcohol.

Thanks to Skyview for sharing at DLD. Murky brown pour with a thin whitish head. It had a sweet aroma, molasses. It had a sweet taste along with some darker fruits. The alcohol was present. Overall a tasty style.

Winterfest ’10. The best beer I have had from Brau Brothers in some time. Brown color. Aroma has lots of brown sugar, and it reminds me of sweet barleywine. Flavor is also quite sweet, caramel, brown sugar, dried fruit. Bitter grain finish with some alcohol on the palate. They could have called this a barleywine and I wouldn’t argue.
