3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Very citrus, fresh hop aroma. Copper/orange in color with very thin cream colored head. Leaves nice lacing in the glass. Flavor is very citrus, like grapefruit up front, and fades to a bitter aftertaste. Very clean and slightly effervescent on the pallet. Overall a good beer, but not balanced. Should be reserved for a "hop head."

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy orange amber color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, orange peel, lemon zest, floral, grass, light pine, caramel, biscuit, light honey, and floral earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity of citrus/floral hops and fairly balanced malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, caramel, biscuit, light pine, light honey, and floral earthiness. Fair amount of floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, floral, grass, caramel, biscuit, light honey, light pine, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance of citrus/grassy hops with moderate malt sweetness; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly creamy, smooth, and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice wet hop ale. Good balance of citrus/grassy hops and moderate malt sweetness; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very malt forward, but may have been a bit old. Hops were pleasant but a bit bland with nothing standing out.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle. Filtered orange-tan body. Foamy off-white head. Earthy hop vine taste. Grassy and dry, with some familiar citrus tones as well. Hefty mat body, full bodied. The massive malt backbone sort of overwhelms the hops, though they are certainly still there. OK.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours clear amber with good head and great lacing. Aroma is floral and grassy. Taste is grassy, resiny hops with not much malt balance, and a dry earthy finish with a mildly sharp, short-lived bitterness. Palate is medium bodied. This had a uniquely hop-heavy taste without being a bitterness bomb, but overall it wasn’t a smashing success for me.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Poured fiery sunset orange with a shorter-lived whitish head. The aroma picked up zesty orange and herbal hoppage over sweet caramel and bready malts.. smelled like it was going to be very enjoyable. The flavor found semi-sweet caramel, biscuity notes, and a kiss of honey at the core, with tangy orange zest and peppery hops around.. finished a bit sharp over sweet, tasty malts. Light-medium bodied and probably not as fresh as it once was.. very good components, and I’ll gladly try it again.
