Moo Joos combines the full body of a Milk Stout with the silky smoothness of an Oatmeal Stout. Lactose sugar in the boil contributes a full and creamy mouthfeel while toasted and flaked oats in the mash round out the beer with an oily texture. A deep malt bill builds layers of roasty notes with hints of chocolate, coffee and anise. A traditional British Cask Yeast is then pitched, which leaves us with a fruity, malty ale.

An opaque dark brown color with a creamy mocha head and decent lacing. Roasty aroma with light coffee and milk chocolate. Subtle hint of fruit. Taste begins with roast and coffee flavors then bittersweet chocolate and a lactose flavor. Mouthfeel is fairly creamy and full bodied but not as much as I expected. Carbonation is medium/ high. Decent attempt at a oatmeal and a milk stout but doesn't really impress as either. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a jet black with almost no head. Nose and taste are coffee & oatmeal. Decent but pretty common. Nothing I would need to try again. That said I would drink it again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Dark brown pour with tan head. Smells of slight chocolate and sweet milk. Tastes of the same with dark chocolate/coffee bitterness. Good stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Near black with a quickly fading brown head. Very rich, malty aroma with a light smokey note. Moderately sweet turns to a slight bitter finish. Smooth, but lighter than expected, fizzy.

Pretty average stout. Tried it on recommendation of employee at specialty liquor store and glad I only purchased one. Good pour, good nose but average, watery taste that was not very carbonated.

The taste is has some nice smooth chocolate with some creamy sweetness. The mouthfeel is almost velvety, very very smooth, but somewhat light. Overall, I honestly canít find anything that I really donít like about this brew. Itís incredibly drinkable. Awesome stuff.

Pours a deep black with minimal head. There are some chocolate and coffee flavors at work. Unfortunately, thereís also an undeniable hint of leather in the background.

Pours very deep brown near black with a ring of soda like fizz. Light aromas of roasted grains and kind of a cream soda vanilla thing. Smooth crisp flavor starting out with a sweet sparkling carbonated light grain but passing through a light hearted British malty fruity ale thing to a final resting place that brings out a light chocolate coffee bitterness and roasted tones held under but the light sweet nature of the overall beer. Earthy dark character with a hint of creaminess and toasted bread burnt on the corners. Decent brew for a modest sweet stout.
