12 ounce bottle. Pours a pure black color with a medium creamy beige head. A sweet nose of cocoa, vanilla, and light roast. A very unique flavor with hints of tartness from the British Cask Yeast I think, some cocoa, a somewhat thin palate, vanilla and coffee. Good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Pailhead (3859) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - OCT 16, 2011
Bottle: The aroma is a nice mixture of chocolate, roasted coffee, and a hint of nuts. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and a one finger tan head that fades to a thin film and leaves spotty lacing. The flavor starts with moderate milk chocolate and a touch of vanilla. The finish has light-moderate roasted coffee and a hint of fruit. It’s medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, a very nice Sweet Stout and I can definitely see myself drinking plenty of this in the near future.

Thanks to the kind soul that opened this at the recent Tampa crew tasting. Pours a dark brown with a white head. Nose is some roast, chocolate, hint of smoke, and slight ash. 3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Nuffield (3347) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - OCT 29, 2011
The rating for this is right on. It’s a rather attractive stout with some oat flavor and that subtle lactose sweetness, but also a well-rounded stout flavor. The body is average, but it is very drinkable, with the English malty/fruity stuff going on that the commercial description trumpets. Bottle.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 nuplastikk (3274) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 17, 2012
12oz bottle picked up in Duluth. Opaque brown-black with a massive, steady, soapy rusty beige head. A rather well made offering, nails the style. Big milk chocolate tones, some nice bready oats. Subtle balance of bitterness, from the cocoa to the hops. Lots of lactic tones. Bitingly bitter up front, but fades into a sweet finish. Solid.
