Moo Joos combines the full body of a Milk Stout with the silky smoothness of an Oatmeal Stout. Lactose sugar in the boil contributes a full and creamy mouthfeel while toasted and flaked oats in the mash round out the beer with an oily texture. A deep malt bill builds layers of roasty notes with hints of chocolate, coffee and anise. A traditional British Cask Yeast is then pitched, which leaves us with a fruity, malty ale.

Earthy aroma, a little malty and toasty. Starts out with a little sweetness and zest in the mouth which quickly transitions to a slightly bittersweet swallow and a pretty clean finish. Overall, a nice milk stout.

UPDATED: SEP 17, 2016 Initially tastes sour and like an ash tray. Then realized it was supposed to be esspresso and roasty. Guess I learned what that tastes like. Its alright. Definitly takes some getting used to if you havent had this type before. Watery as well. Dumped it .. maybe I got a bad one

Bottle into glass. Pours black with a moderate somewhat foamy tan head. Pleasant aroma of roasted malt along with a bit of chocolate. The flavor is roasted malt with chocolate malt followed by some ash. A bit dry and ashy at the finish with a little sweetness. Not as creamy as I would expect in an oatmeal milk stout.
