COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brau Brothers Pilz takes pilsner beer back to its roots. This is a traditional Bohemian Pilsner which means distinct malt flavor combined with high doses of mild Czech hops. Another important ingredient is the authentic yeast which is cultured from historic Bohemian breweries. This beer is lagered for several weeks to mellow its flavor and meld these components into a classic easy-drinking beer.

The aroma is quite yeasty, with some malt as well. The taste is nice; slightly tart, not too sweet. Palate is average. Not a great beer, but a decent one.

Straight forward pilsner beer. Just middle of the road. Which isn’t always a bad thing.

Dry, mild in flavor as far as hops go. Its a decent Pilsner, but middle of the road.

12oz bottle. Hazy golden-tan, big fluffy white head. Fresh aroma, almost wheaty, hefeweizen like. Wow. This is quite nice. Doughy body. Quite fresh tasting, even after a month or two in my closet and who knows where else. Faint lemony, peppery hop balance. Way above par for the style Stateside, this is a really solid beer.

A hazy straw colored body with a long lasting white head that left a lot of lacing on the glass. The nose has some nice notes of black pepper and bread crust. There is also a little bit of grain and apple. The taste has some orange peels and apple core. There is also a little bit of black pepper and celery. It is ok.

Poured into a tall pilsner glass. Two fingers worth of frothy white head disapated to about 1/2 a finger in a min or two. Nice yellow color but it’s slightly hazy. Taste is... like a macro followed by some butter. Yuck. Closest I can think of is it’s almost like a Schells Deer Brand but not even close to as good. Never again and very disapointing after their Ringneck Brown.
