Ring Neck Braun Ale is the initial offering in the Brau Single Batch Series of beers. A perfect autumn ale, this big double nut brown ale is dry and fruity, yet surprisingly drinkable. Nutty flavor is derived from both biscuit malt and toasted oats. A hint of raspberry and classic British hops round out this mild and complex brown ale.

12oz bottle to tulip. Pours dark brown with glowing red tint, absolutely no head to speak of. Aroma of cocoa, dried fruit, caramel, roasted nuts. Taste of the same with a super sweet berry finish. Mouthfeel is no carb, light watery for style. Canít say Iím impressed.

Bottle, like four squares two are white two are green. Lots of text, didn't read it.... Dark beer, toasty smell... Toasty flavor. Decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The aroma of the Braun Ale is very similar to oatmeal, with some caramel, and a very faint hint of pine as well. Itís not incredibly complex on the nose, but when sipping, the aroma comes through stronger. The palate is very smooth and also full bodied. Overall, a quite impressive beer in a style that Iím usually apathetic about. Try it out.

12 oz bottle. Pours a nice brown color with amber highlights. It has a nice white head that has decent retention and lacing. The aroma is wonderful! There are real nutty tones back with a soothing scent of maple. Yummy! The flavor is very smooth and warming. There are big nutty flavors in the forefront and almost a caramel backbone to it. Very delicious! This beer makes a great winter warmer! The mouthfeel is just a bit bigger than a normal brown and that fits in nicely here. I really like this beer.

Bottle poured into an English pint. Had a ruby brown color and a thick tan head. Aroma is very malty with a decent amount of chocolate and a hint of fruitiness present. Taste starts off pretty fruity with a hint of chocolate but quickly shifts to biscuit with a hint of hops. Finishes off with a light hoppy bitterness. Palate is just right for the style with low carbonation. Very fruity for a brown but I like it!

Dominated by dry, expansive, weak caramel malt. Most noticeable is the mouthfeel - large-bubbled watered-down-extract expanding to the the degree your cheeks bulge.

Aroma: Nuts, caramel, dark malt, and some butterscotch.
Appearance: A basic hazy brown with a small off-white head.
Taste: Medium sweetness and a slight bitterness.
Palate: Medium bodied, thin texture, average carbonation, dry, and with a slightly boozy finish.

12 oz. bottle. Pours out a nice dark brown with a thin quickly fading head. The aroma is of a sweet bread/malty nature. Upon tasing I found it to be a little thinner on the palate than I was expecting but it was fine. Flavors I found were chocolate, nuts, and a little fruit. I found the finish to a bit off as it left a lingering after taste, (not in a good way) but very drinkable. No lacing to speak of. It is a good beer that could become better with a little more hops.
