COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed to drink long winter sessions of our favorite card game. Extensive dry hopping combined with a formidable malt bill creates the hoppiest beer in Redwood County!

Rate beer calls this an American APA, Beer Advocate calls this as an American IPA: I think itís more of a Belgian IPA. There has to be Belgian yeast in this, even though no one has mentioned that in the reviews that I have read. I think this is a well brewed beer, and fairly well balanced but Iím not that big on Belgian IPAís,, especially when the wild yeast and hop bitterness dominate the after taste!. I certainly wonít buy this beer again, even if I find it for $5.99, for a six pack, again

12 oz. bottle. Pours unclear dark amber with a tight foamy off white head that fades to a film and slight lacing. Aroma is sweet caramel malt and earthy light hops. Taste has subtle bitter earthy hops and slight herbal qualities along with caramel malt and light spice. Palate is medium gritty and chalky. Decent.

Clear amber pour with a very small off-white head. Piney hop aroma with some very light licorice notes. Taste is a blend of citrus hops and sweet malt with a faint smoky taste. Hides the ABV quite well. Pretty decent APA.

Light to no head. No lacing. Hoppy and bitter but somewhat balanced. Like this brewery but this is not one of their best

Features a light brown creamy head. The aroma is rather pleasant. However, this is an EXTREMELY bitter beer, which I didnít find pleasant at all. Itís over powering, so much so that you really canít taste any of the flavoring which Iím sure is there.

Bottle. Pours a hazy copper with foamy head. Some mild hop aroma. Flavor is hops but well balanced. Abv is well hidden. Nice APA

12oz bottle. I wouldnít have associated sheep with an APA, more of a Bock or Scottish Ale thing..whatever....this doesnít really fit in a style, something like an APA and an American Strong Ale combined. Orange-copper filtered body, thin off-white head. Mild and respectable soapy pine hop aroma. A pretty balanced creature, with big, yet mellow malt tones which plant the hops firmly in the backseat. Some fruity notes, could be amber malt, but maybe just the yeast. Pretty enjoyable beer.

September 15, 2012 on tap at the Autumn Brew Review in Minneapolis. Orange brown pour with no head. Citrus hops in aroma and taste.

This brewery now has one of my least favorite named brews to one of my favorite named brews. College was just an excuse to play hours upon hours of Sheepshead Ė two handed, three handed, lousy four handed and the Cadillac, five handed. I donít play as often as Iíd like to these days but when a game break outs Iím ready to go. Murky mahogany with a quickly fadgin tan head that wastes into pond scum. Aroma of deep caramel, roasted malt, grains along with light floral and citrus hops. Tastes of caramel, light floral hops, citrus, nutty notes and mild bitterness.
