Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes goldenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, fruchtig, bananig. Geschmack hefig, bananig fruchtig, minimal würzig.

It’s unclear golden with a huge, creamy and lasting head. The aroma has notes of yeast (slightly baking yeast too), fruits like grapes (no banana) and wheat. The sweet flavor has notes of yeast (mild), fruit (again I find grapes) and wheat, and the finish is slightly - rather almost not yeasty. It’s OK, but a bit boring.

500ml bottle. Aroma is yeast and slightly fruity, little apple hints. Appearance is cloudy orange with a huge white foam. Taste is light sour and sweet. Has a watery mouthfeel and a short finish. Overall a good Weizen.

Bottle:Golden to deep golden, hazy, small mid-sized off-white head, clovey-wheaty nose with a solid yeasty fruitiness in the background; sourish-sweet flavour with a light bitterness, soft to very soft, medium bodied; increasing acidity in the yeasty-wheaty finish. Decent Weizen…

(bottle) Hazy, golden to light-amber colour with a tall and slightly off-white foamy head. Yeasty and moderately wheaty aroma with hints of cara-malt, a restrained banana-fruity note and present clovy phenols. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter-tart flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Present wheat-character with rather shy fruity notes; a bit slim and quite clovy and bitter-tart finish. Not one of my faves. 19.XI.11

Kristall-König (2187) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - MAY 27, 2011
Gut.Test vom 11.3.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts modest fruity, yeasty in the background. Finish with an increasing fruitiness, very drinkable. Good weizen!

Bottle. Hazy golden colour with a medium white head. Wheaty, spicy aroma and a light sweet sparkeling wheaty, spicy, fruity taste. Medium body and a light sweet finish. A good wheat beer!
