pivo (2540) - - MAR 26, 2007
Farty vegetable nose, intenser than a Landbier. Cloudy gold color, low fizzy head. Honey notes with a sweet grainy-ness. Broad tingly bitter. Soapy mouth feel. Rough around the edges and down to earth.

Bottle: Pale greenish-golden, unclear, creamy and lacy white foamy layer, sweetish-grainy nose, traces of peppery hops underneath; quite soft, moderate bitter-swwtish flavour; grainy finish, followed by a slight bitterness. Pleasant, archetypal Helles…

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a big and dense foamy white head. Slightly grainy and doughy malty aroma with present herbal hops. Mildly sweet flavour with a tinge of bitterness, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Grainy malt character with delicately herbal accents, leading into a sweet and slightly hop bitter finish. Decent. 01.XI.11

Pale gold. Very bland aroma. Lively palate, but a bit thin. Taste is a little fruity with a touch of citrus, and some ginger too. OK maltiness, and some pleasant hops, really not a bad brew, but just so unexciting. Finish is quite bitter.

Thanks Thomas for bringing this home from a family party in Gosselding. Small white head, fizzy carbonation, pale golden color. Very intense sulphury nose. Grany, very grassy and fresh - actually quite ok after the nose.
