3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 pivnizub (7228) - Bochum, Porúří, - JAN 11, 2008
Bottle (purchased at the brewery) Straw golden coloured, "misty", lazy carbonation, pronounced aromatic hayish (or like freshly mowed grass) hoppy nose, delicate grainy dusty aromas in the background, not without a barnyardy tinge; solid, mainly bitter flavour, quite light bodied, soft MF; robust hoppy palemalty finish with a soft "tail". Superb franconian quality.... more an excellent Pilsener than a Kellerbier!

50cl bottle. Light hazy golden with a white head. Earthy, light hoppy, malty aroma. Hops, yeast, earth and grassy flavor. Solid beer, tasty.

Yellow colour, small and longlasting head. Aroma is stale with corn, grainy malt and hints of hay. Flavour has sweetish malt with hints of corn and hay. Decent.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 MartinT (6349) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 1, 2011
My Bottom Line :
Frothy and slender, this quenching Kellerbier slowly builds herbal hop flavor and bitterness within straw-like cereals.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-Foam icing tops the misty golden.
-This must be a loosely filtered version of their Pils. Everything points to a textbook German Pilsener, and a good one at that, save for the light yeasty presence.
-Quite carbonated, the mouthfeel remains pleasant due to the soft impact of the bubbles upon the palate.
-There might be nothing distinctive in this Kellerbier (no countryside personality, for example), but it remains a great quencher like so many others in Franconia.
-Citrusy edges and slightly doughy yeast add depth.
On tap at a café on Ausstrasse, in Bamberg.

Pineapple-yellow color, slightly cloudy. Starts very fruity, slightly bitter. The finish is slightly earthy and grainy, with good aroma hops in the background!

Passt! 12/10/11/11//11

Bottle. Straw, barley malt aroma - light grass hops. Hazy pale yellow color with small head. Sweet barley malt flavor with a very strong straw and moderately bitter grassy hops aftertaste. Very nice palate. Excellent - a bottled beer that actually preserves the earthiness typical in this style.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Maria (8576) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUN 26, 2010
It’s a slightly hazy golden beer with a huge, creamy, white head. The aroma has notes of malt, bread and straw- and grassy hops. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of malt, bread, straw, citrus and very light hints of butter. The finish is dry with notes of straw and citrussy hops.
