2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 Ungstrup (26268) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 22, 2006
A deep red beer with a dense brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as hints of butter. The flavor has strong notes of butter, but nicer notes of caramel, and hints of smoke, leading to a dry hoppy end. Take away the butter and it’d be good.

Dark golden brown. Breadcrusty chocolate nose. Very complex toasty dark malts. The toasty palate is quite dry, but not quite as unique as the aroma suggests. Still, this is a quality dark lager.
