(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a massive blond foamy head. Sweet and bready cara-malty aroma. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, full bodied with a soft carbonation. Grainy, slightly bready taste; sweet and malty finish with a touch of hoppy bitterness, lasting malt-accented aftertaste with a tinge of caramel.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ungstrup (23922) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 14, 2007
Draft. An orange beer - quite light in color even for a Heller Bock with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with quite strong notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of alcohol that hits early, but then comes notes of caramel, before the alcohol returns, and leads to a dry alcoholic finish.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Papsoe (22948) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 17, 2006
(On tap) Beautiful, clear amber golden with a dense, off-white head with good retention. Sweetish, lightly caramelish aroma. Medium body with sweetish notes of caramel malt. Lightly hoppy finish. Yet another solid German Bock in style somewhere between A Dunkler and a Heller Bock. 091106
