Test vom 20.5.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,9,9,9,12,9 - 9,35

Bottle. Medium amber with a large frothy short lived head. Aroma is very light malt. Flavour is light toast malt with plum and a dry roasted palate. Finish is dry

bottle, thanks to mowbeer for sharing. pale amber with no real head; stale, old book aroma; some rusty tea bitterness but nothing inspiring

High light brown head that stays for some time. Light roasted malty aroma with some dried plums. Huge malty taste and small complementing bitterness.

BeerViking (1043) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 1, 2011
50cl bottle from Bavaria, pours a dark copper with a big off-white head, and caramel and a touch of bread on the nose. Body is nutty with hints of spice, peppery hops, a little toffee, a little dough and some distant soft fruit. A pleasant enough Frankish bitter.

Bottled 50cl. Ordered from www.bierzwerg.de. Malty, low bitterness. Mediocre hop profile. Rather boring.

Bottle by 01.04.12. Nose has a great rustic character, like a fresh-toasted specialty grain bread with caramel malt underneath. Gradient amber pour, translucent with the real red, head is fizzy tan. Taste has rich, juicy malt with understated sweetness, a nice woody character balanced with gorgeous toasted grain. Light fruitiness of the berry-apple variety but a touch of alcohol toward the back. Clean, slightly thinned medium body. Has some great subtlety and a different character than its brethren; l’d love to make this at home. Excited!

Bottle from Maruhn, Darmstadt
Amber-brown color, bright, with frothy head, big bubbles, not persistent. Mild aroma of raw cereals, plastic. Dry mouthfeel, with some dry caramel flavor, cereals and a mild roasted nuts touch. The final is a bit too dry, with ordinary bitterness. Boring.

Bottle 50cl from bierzwieg.com. A clear amber beer with good head and lacing, high carbonated. Nose is on caramel, bred and spices. Aroma is dry with nice cereal, caramel, bread notes, finish is long on bitter caramel. Good hops presence with a peppery finish slightly metallic notes.

0.5 l bottle. Amber color. Sweetish nutty aroma with hint of raisins. Nutty taste with licorice and some raisiny caramel. Medium+ body. OK dunkel.
