Bottle. Sweet aroma, banana candies and a little clove. Hazy dark golden; loose white head. Has that juicy tangy mouth-rinsing weissbier thing going on. Billows up in the mouth. Refreshing, perhaps a little watery.

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2014 NOTE: I drank the Brauerei Simon Weissbier Hell, 0.5 liter can (label looks very similar but says ’Hell’, so maybe different than this pictured beer) Nice-looking beer, rich yellow, starts with a medium, frothy head. tight foam, hazy. Typical wheat bear nose, but not as ’wheaty’ smelling as some WiessBiers. bready, yeasty and a bit herbal. cloves. Medium-light on the palate, smooth and refreshing. A little bit explosive and slightly robust. Sweet, tart AND bitter. A bit citrusy, hints of banana and maybe anise, with a decent follow-through. some fruitness (some kind of tropical fruit flavor, but not sweetness), cloves/licorice, peppery, citrus, moderate bitterness that lingers ... lingering flavors coats your mouth above average. not as impactful as some weissbier, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Bottle@Home. Nothing out of the ordinary but well done Weizen. Refreshing, flavourful, nice bananas.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, fruchtig, würzig. Geschmack hefig, reife Banane, Karamell, würzig.

sampled both bottled from landierparadies and on tap at the fraenkisches bierfest 2013 in nuremburg. both were hazy yellow with a massive and persistent white head; plenty of banana in the aroma, with the tap version exceptionally phenolic; mango nectar texture; some fresh grassy hops balancing vanilla. very very drinkable weizen

Flasche 50cl.

Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass a bit darker than exspected, nice head. Starts malty-yeasty, not too dry. Interesting hints of caramel. Mild fruity like apricot. Well balanced finish and quite drinkable. Good!

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with stable, creamy off-white head. Clear aroma of yeast, hops and banana. Mildly sweet flavour of banana and malt with notable citric notes, a good deal of yeast and high carbonation. Sourish and rather mild aftertaste. I have no idea why it is classified as a Dunkelweizen. For me it is just a decent German Hefeweizen.
