Bottle 50cl. @ home.
[ Trade by Maria ]. Clear light to medium brown color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, very roasted, cellar, brown sugar notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Bitterness is like metalic. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is metalic. Bottled (thanks Timo A!). Deep nutbrown/amber colour with a small beige head. Aroma is caramel, nutty, some dark fruityness as well as some slight toasted notes. Flavour is rather similar, but has a rather thin palate.

Cask (Bayerische Anstich) at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear nut brown, small head. Roasty and nutty with a touch of licorice. medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. There’s grass and licorice and aniseed as well as butter, and the malt feels vital and ful of life. fairly low bitterness. A well balanced beer that may lack that extra something that is hard to define.

Draught at the brauhaus
Amber color with chestnut shades; creamy head. The aroma has some light perfumy vanilla. Caramel flavor, little residual sweetness (just enough to smoother the body); quite strong bitterness. Easy.

Draught at BBF13. Good spicy hop aroma. Clear brown colour. Big stable tan head. The flavour is malty with a good spicy hop and distinct bitterness to balance.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Malt and dark chocoalte in the aroma. Malty, caramelly flavor with pear and a hint of cacao. Some earthy notes in the aftertaste. Nice dunkel.

The color is dark, red-brown and the head is huge and nice. The aroma has notes of grain, syrup and roasted malt. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of caramel, grain, light citrus and in the long, dry and slightly bitter finish I also find hints of coffee.

500ml bottle (One Pint Pub, Helsinki)
Very sweet caramelly aroma, touch of dry metallic-hinting hops. Deep red, tight beige head. Less sweet in the taste, in fact it’s a fairly refreshing palate, nice carbonation too. Pleasant grains, quite barley sweetness. Hops are very noble, dry, herbal, and with a nice bitter tingle.Fairly simple, but very tasty dunkel. This is why I like dunkels.
