3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ogreface (863) - Budapest, HUNGARY - DEC 12, 2011
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 brugmanneke (81) - GERMANY - OCT 3, 2011
(bottle) Golden, clear colour. Thin white had that lasts only seconds. Very low carbonation, of course. Strong grainy malts and fresh grassy hops struggling for dominance in this one. Also hay-like hops and a touch of citrus. Hops are winning. Light to medium bitter taste, some sweetness from the malts. Nice.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 EithCubes (3339) - GERMANY - SEP 11, 2011
Bottle. Room-filling grassy and hay-stuffed nose, malt is the for balance but it’s great to have this kind of hoppiness over the citrus. Dark golden with a short, lacing white head; flattens out pretty entirely. Light-bodied, low bitterness and strong sweetness. Very heavy honey taste, clean with a hint of grain toward the back. Strong orange peel. Malt is more assertive here, and there’s a dank sort of cellary aftertaste that lingers an awfully long time.
