3fourths (8598) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 20, 2009
UPDATED: DEC 21, 2011 multiple bottles at du sonne in bischberg. bright clear gold, perfectly formed rocky white head that seems to last forever. exceptionally intense and vibrant hallertau nose... spiced green hops, floral, zesty, doughy... the bitter, dry green bean and sweet sugar snap pea hop notes are incredible. the depth of this pils is unmatched - bright, effervescent, full, frothy body, perfectly crisp, exceptionally snappy and minerally, wonderfully crisp and refreshing. dust/minerals/granite, all there to breathe in and marvel at. this is a sorely unappreciated german pils.

Oakes (13537) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 11, 2009
Light gold, gentle sparkle, thin head. Light hop aroma. Low-moderate bitterness with a crisp herbal hop character. Clean, flawless but not their most interesting offering.

Beershine (5218) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - AUG 4, 2009
Bottle @ brewpub. Medium gold with lots of scattered lacing. Aroma is sweet malt, clean, and very mild aroma. The palate is slightly sticky. The flavors are nuanced with a sweetish entry followed by a longish bitter hop finish. Is much drier than it smells and is quite agreeable.

FatPhil (10892) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JAN 8, 2009
500ml bottle (One Pint, Helsinki, Oktoberfest 2008)
Healthy orange, tiny head. Rich but non-imposing malty aroma. Lovely smooth palate. Gently hopped, though mostly soft mellow light malts, but a hint of ginger too. Pleasant carbonation. Could do with a bit more hops, but very tasty nonetheless.

[ Trade with Maria ]. Clear light to medium yellow orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lancing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, hay. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (100608)

Maria (10191) - Thisted, DENMARK - AUG 2, 2008
Nice golden with a nice, white head. The aroma has notes of hay, a little apple and malt. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of apple, hay and malt and it ends on a dry and slightly bitter note. I would have liked it to be more refreshing.

rauchbier (3665) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - FEB 22, 2007
Tap, at the brewpub December 2005. Gold, thin white head and moderate condition. Low grain and hop in the nose, good sweet malty grain notes in the mouth balanced with a gentle flowery hoppiness, good lingering hoppy finish with some restrained bitterness and a touch of chalk.

Draught - in Bamberg while watching world cup soccer. Light on its feet, soft mf, quite refreshing pils with hoppy nose and milky, slightly neutral flavor.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 13/20
pivnizub (9296) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - JUL 6, 2006
Bottle (bought at the brewery): Straw golden coloured, thin foamy layer, quite stable; aroma: shy floral hops mixed with sweet malt and some citrousy notes; sweetish-citrousy-bitter flavour, smooth MF; soft, but distinctive aromatic bitter-sweet-fruity finish, becoming drier and more bitter in the aftertaste. A pleasant one..............
