3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ernest (5183) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 23, 2011
Rated at the brewery/restaurant Nov 2011.
Head is initially average sized, frothy/creamy, white, mostly lasting.
Body is hazy medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (bread), with notes of banana and clove.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
The one good brew I sampled on this visit. They remind me of a bit of Plank, which struggles at producing decent lagers but makes quite agreeable Weissbier. Anyways, this was a perfectly fine rendition...straightforward but pleasant.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 3fourths (6399) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 20, 2009
bottle at du sonne in bischberg. cloudy orange, perfectly formed off-white head, finely-bubbled, perfect carbonation. buttered bananas, citrus/oranges and clove intensely rich and inviting in a ester-filled minerally nose that convinces you that you can smell the hard water. dusty drywall/starch character blends well with the banana and tropical fruit and sweet tea notes. wonderfully rich texture without being too weighty.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Oakes (10184) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 11, 2009
Cloudy, pale, yellowish. Fresh, bready, banana nose. Fresh wheaty, fruity (apple, pear) taste with banana esters and a clean, yeasty footprint. Spirtzy carbonation cuts the sugars. Fairly dry for the style. One of the better Franconian wheat beers.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Beershine (4712) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - AUG 4, 2009
Bottle @ brewpub. Cloudy opaque dark yellow with small but lasting white cap. Aroma is dirty dish rag, pedio, and flowers. Not so many esters. The flavors are much better, and the palate is clean. the beer is dry, wheaty and floral with moderate wheat. Finishes with a nice sweet yeast kiss. Not super flavorful but thirst quenching and enjoyable.
