3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
(bottle, thanks pivnizub !) Clear, pale golden colour with a firm foamy white medium- sized head. Slightly sweet grainy nose with honey and a whiff of grassy hops. Soft sweet flavour, malty, grainy taste, light to medium body, well carbonated mouthfeel; medium-dry, slightly sweet malty with a dense blend of herbal hops.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Impressions from the bar stool:
-Tight foam hills protrude from the krug, I have no idea of its shade of gold.
-Hay and wooden hops first peek through the nose.
-Ah, the soft carbonation of nature.
-Some citrus fruit lighten the toasty hay.
-A meditative, finishing hop bitterness ensues.
-Herbal tea and grass notes appear in the aroma as well.
-A frank, well-crafted session lager, nothing less.
On tap at the Stöhrenkeller, Bamberg.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: NOV 20, 2011 Rerate: Getting some minerally notes as well now, light sulphur retronasal. Still a great Helles.
Pale green golden, dense creamy and lacing head.
Herbal hop aroma.
Light but firm malt base with a nice aromatic herbal hop profile, ends on a dry note. A shame we couldn’t get it on tap.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Yellowish, very dense head, fully clear gold. Discreet noble hops, with light grain, and some faint toasted aroma’s. Quite sweet, malty, nearly bready taste, with again some toasted whitebread flavour. Bit of sweet peanuts or sweetcorn flavour. Long sweet finish with just a rim of hoppiness. Medium bodied, grist slickness. Not bad Helles. Tad to the sweet site, but pleasant enough. No doubt better on draught.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Malt in the aroma. Full bodied, malty and some hopbitterness, moving on to a bitter aftertaste. Well made helles, with enough hops to convince. Nasty by-flavors are absent.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Malty and light skunky aroma. Pale golden, white head, fair lace. Malty, quite sweet, few hops, few flavors. Watery and short finish.
