pivnizub (7228) - Bochum, Porúří, - JUN 26, 2006
Bottle (bought at the brewery): Amber coloured, small lacing off-white head; the nose is a mixture of sweet-malty, almost toasted aromas and a delicate, floral bitterness; sweet (malty)-bitter flavour, soft MF, a bit sticky, light to medium bodied; sweet-malty finish with a distinctive bitterness. O.K., but not really great..............

Bottle, good head. A bit toasted, sweet, caramel, but the main flavour is water. There could be more flavour.

brugmanneke (81) - GERMANY - AUG 19, 2011
(bottle) Clear amber color with off-white head. Bread and cereal plus a very slight grassiness on the nose. Taste is medium bitter with a sweet touch. Aroma of caramel, toast, grains, with a touch of leather or maybe tobacco and subdued herbal hops. Soft carbonation, a little sticky on the palate and light to medium-bodied. I like the bitter finish, I dislike the slight metallic aftertaste, and it has taken me some time to adjust to the sticky sweet notes that I did not expect. However, it’s a solid beer which I could enjoy drinking again, maybe next time on tap for a change. But I wouldn’t go to great lengths to get another bottle

Red-orange with a nice, dense and creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt and light fruit. The flavour has a light, smooth sweetness, notes of malt, caramel and light fruit. It’s harmonic, smooth and nice.

Tranquillity (1338) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - SEP 18, 2007

MoritzF (7342) - Bochum, GERMANY - JUN 25, 2006
(bottle, with thanks to pivnizub !) Clear, dark amber colour with a medium-sized, slowly lacing eggshell foam. Shy, slightly sweet toast-malty, grainy nose with a touch of caramel. Sweet flavour, medium to light body, soft carbonation. Sweet malty, toasty taste with caramel and notes of herbal hops; medium-dry malty, light-bitter finish with a tinge of metal in the aftertaste.

jonas (4588) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - OCT 12, 2005
Bottle
Fat malt - rye or sourdoughlike, herbal hops and a bit fruit in the aroma. Attractive orange - chestnut and fine creamy, lacing off-white head. Heavy malt body, bready notes prevalent, roasty, yeasty and minereally towards the finish, which is finetuned with the bittering hops to cleanse the palate so that no sweetness lingers on. Very nice.
