Sep 18, 2007 Bottle at the German beer festival at One Pint, Helsinki. Aroma of faint smoke and malt. Dark honey colour, thick beige head. Taste malty, with some unclean hoppyness.

Jun 26, 2006 Bottle (bought at the brewery): Amber coloured, small lacing off-white head; the nose is a mixture of sweet-malty, almost toasted aromas and a delicate, floral bitterness; sweet (malty)-bitter flavour, soft MF, a bit sticky, light to medium bodied; sweet-malty finish with a distinctive bitterness. O.K., but not really great..............

Jun 25, 2006 (bottle, with thanks to pivnizub !) Clear, dark amber colour with a medium-sized, slowly lacing eggshell foam. Shy, slightly sweet toast-malty, grainy nose with a touch of caramel. Sweet flavour, medium to light body, soft carbonation. Sweet malty, toasty taste with caramel and notes of herbal hops; medium-dry malty, light-bitter finish with a tinge of metal in the aftertaste.
