Bottled. Tasted blind @ yesprs. Dark amber coloured. Unclear. Small light brown head. aroma of roast, caramel, wood, vanilla, vague flowers. Flavour of roast, alcohol, caramel, sweetness, wood, vanilla,chocolate. Medium to full bodied. Dry alcoholdense caramel end.

Bottled@omhper. Amber colour, small head. Aroma is fruits, mild plum, alcohol and some slight yeastyness. Flavour is alcohol, sweet malts, mild wooden notes as well as some rather hoppy notes. Mild yeastyness in the finish. All in all a pleasant Barley Wine.

Bottled, thanks gnoff! Hazy copper colour, minimal head. Aroma of vanilla and caramel. Sweet and soft withfull body. Lots of vanilla and oak, custardy caramel. Warming cottony finish. Mellow, yet potent. Excellent barley wine.

Bottled. A deep red beer with no head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, wood, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, caramel, whiskey, and malt, leading to a dry woody finish. The alcohol leaves a burn on the palate. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Clear copper color, small to very small head. Sweet, sugary, malty scent. Sweet, malty, alcohol taste. Cream aftertaste. Smooth to thick mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
Very tasty and one of the favourites on this tasting. I’ll get it again when I see it for sure!

Sampled at omhpers tasting. Pours amber with no real head. Smells and tastes honey and nutty, abit alcohol with a similar finish.

Bottle at omhpers tasting 110930. Copper/amber beer, no head. Fruity sweetish aroma, some nuts, some apples. Vinous malt flavor, almond, some spices, some alcohol. Nice body, pleasant maltiness.

Sample @ omhper’s. Pours cloudy mahogany no head. Aroma is sweet malty alcohol dark fruits raisins some acidy tones. Flavor is sweet phenolic velvety too much alcohol fudge madeira bitter. Finishes with warming alcohol, fudge and bitter.

Dark amber to chestnut color, hazy; quite flat and oily, hence not much head, just a thin and non persistent layer, quickly gone.
The aroma is mild but immediately reveals the vanilla from the oak aging; the aroma is also nutty, and with traces of tobacco; American style, but not excessive; quite seducing.
Good body structure, without being thick; round mouthfeel, but also a bit oily later; the flavor of malt and caramel is good, the vanilla from the oak too; but the combination of high bitterness and high alcohol, mainly in the end, is too oppressive, and the final suffers a bit from that; it’s also quite sweet, but the sweetness is cut by the sharp alcohol. Like many beers from BraufuctuM, there is some sludge in the end.
Good but boozy.

Bottle. Tasted blind @ yespr. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty dark fruit aroma with hints of vanilla. Sweetish fruity malty vanilla flavor with hints of caramel and dark fruit. Has a sweetish malty fruity vanilla and caramel finish.

Clear medium to dark brown amber color with a small to average, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, dark berry, wood - oak, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, whisky - bourbon - oak. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. [20110219]
