23.10.2014. 0,355l Bottle. Golden yellow unclear colour with white head. Very soft beer with smooth malty body with notes of herbs and soft grassy hops. There is also some kind of floral aromas. Soft dry aftertaste with more herbal notes. Medium body and medium bitterness. Good beer!!

Insisting pale ale with a wonderful pineapple-like colour. Well hopped with german/czech hop types, like an IPA with pilsner hops. Discrete aroma which is in the same street as the taste.

From bottle. Vibrant hop aroma shows a core of German hops: lemon meringue, lemon balm, lime juice, faint pineapple and "tropical" fruit mish-mash, somewhat grassy from dry-hopping. Medium-light body, lightly sweet, highly bitter, looks and smells like Kellerpils but I understand that this is top-fermented. Hops do give off a minor cheese / sweat character but it’s not distracting from the juicy-floral-citrus quality that makes it so much fun to smell and drink. Good shape, ingredients expressed well, flavor balance in the mouth achieved.

16.09.2014, 0,35l bottle @ home:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly grainy, flowers, wet grain, wet socks, weeds, light malts, wet hay, cereal. Taste is kind of harsh floral, weeds, bark, light malts, flowers, hay, paper. Medium bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Bottle courtesy of Tammy Tuck, thank you ma’am! I have to caveat this rating by saying the bottle was about 18 months old, so not quite yet into the "terrible twos." Clear golden color, white head. Nice fruity aroma. Taste starts with a bit of fruit, then a bitter finish. Plain.

0,75l bottle from the shop at Hoffstättner brewery. (#1051) This is by far the best Kölschs i ever had. Perfectly brewery with not a single flaw. Golden colour, beautiful honied floral nose, very specific Saphir Hop notes. Perfect carbonation. Just awesome!

Pours pale golden with medium-thin white head. The nose is bright and pleasant as it unveils its pineapple and citrus notes, but its initial intensity seems to slacken a bit over time. The flavor begins with gentle zest over pale malts, followed by bright, refreshing hops which provide balance through gentle bitterness, which also carries the dry finish fairly elegantly. The texture is gentle and spritzy. A neat and wholesome beer.

355ml Bottle, pour is clear golden, thin-to-no head. Aroma has some citrusy notes. Taste is also citric with some sweeter notes. Beer is enjoyable but a little more complexity would be good.

Has malty aroma with small note of something like a pear. It’s bright yellow color, clear. Has a tiny head with nice lacing. In taste it’s also malty, there is nothing really going on. It’s highly carbonated. Taste a little bit just lika a typical pils produced in huge factory.

Bottle from Galeria Alexanderplatz, Berlin. Clear pale yellow beer with a decent white head. Fruity citrus aroma, hay, biscuits, grapes, some passion fruit. Fruity hop flavor, bready, cereal, hay notes. Flawless but slightly dull.
