Bottle, 5.5%. The aroma starts off dusty, turning a little perfumy and then to a sort of wild hop aroma. Clear yellow colour. Good stable chalk white head. The flavour is malty and slightly sweet with a spicy hop note, later a little fruitiness. The mouthfeel seems a little thin, but it is not a real problem. Gut.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 fiulijn (12179) - Malmö, DENMARK - JUL 12, 2011
Bottle from Galeria Kaufhof, Köln 5.1% ABV on the front label, 5.5% ABV on the back label Yellow color, with a straw hue. The aroma is mild, with mainly an herbaceous character, with a very light lemony touch; not enough to be interesting. The mouthfeel is dry and smooth, and the body is not too weak; there is a moderate malt and cereals flavor, with a light chamomile touch, and a quite strong bitterness. As it’s difficult to make an interesting Kölsch, this one is not alone among the boring ones.
