Hopfen: Saphir Malz: Pilsener, Karamellmalz With Colonia, BraufactuM brings traditional Rhenish bitters to life once more. The special hoppy aroma can be attributed to large hop additions in both the brew house and the storage tanks. For Whirlpool and dry hopping nly the rare Hallertauer Saphir hop is used.

(bottle, 35.5cl, 5.5% abv) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond mid-sized foamy head. Citric and flowery hoppy aroma with mildly spicy herbal accents and a delicately buttery malty touch. Slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, crispy on the tongue. Initially pale malty with a dusty touch and a rising hops character from the middle part, including citric, floral and mildly herbal notes; dry and moderately bitter finish with an aromatic hoppy tail. 29.VI.13

Pours golden from the bottle with a thin creamy head. Hoppy aroma that can be described as citric. Taste is of lightly bitter hops with fruity undertones and a sour bitter aftertaste. Light bodied with a slightly watery palate. Bitter beer brings to my mind the many English bitters I sampled over the years, but this is more like an IPA, but still not bad.

Bottle. Golden beer with a light head. The aroma is lightly dry with lager like yeastiness. The flavour is mainly yeasty with a large degree of dryness and bitterness. Overall a reasonable beer more like a lager than a golden ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light yellow color with big head. Aroma: light, surtle, herbs and hops. Taste is more complex and thick, bright. Nice average sweet, carb and dry finish. Some citrus and tropic fruits flavours. A little bitter finish. Drinkable.

Clear yellow color with foam ring. Hoppy nose with grass and herbs. The taste is bitter, dry and a little bit tart, however with a fresh herbal note. The aftertaste is dry and a little bitter.

355cl bottle into an old Schultheiss Berliner Weisse bowl at home on 12th Jan 2016. Light golden bodied beer, thin wispy white head. Decent blend with the hops just about winning in both the aroma and taste stakes. A little too carbonated for me, almost fizzy in fact. OK, my first beer from these guys, needs a bit more flavour and depth in my opinion but overall not too bad.

Pale orange, brief head. Pleasant fleshy fruit aroma, a bit starchy. Bland APA taste, starchy, US05 yeastiness, plastic and starch, almost lagery. Gentle bitter finish. Watery palate. Ineffectual brew.

Bottle at home. Slightly hazy yellow colour, white foamy head. Malty basically, indeed some pineapple in the distance, metallic. Grainy body, medium carbonation.

Door number 4 in the craft beer advent calendar. Quite a promising pineapple aroma. The taste is light pine with mild spice. It’s light in body and a touch watery, but otherwise fairly pleasant.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2015 Clear straw color with white head. Aroma is hoppy with some dank notes and a slight honey note. Taste starts sweet and hoppy with fruit notes and gets bitter in the finish with grapefruit notes. Fresh and easy to drink.
