Hopfen: Saphir Malz: Pilsener, Karamellmalz With Colonia, BraufactuM brings traditional Rhenish bitters to life once more. The special hoppy aroma can be attributed to large hop additions in both the brew house and the storage tanks. For Whirlpool and dry hopping nly the rare Hallertauer Saphir hop is used.

No one really cares about contract-brewing and all that when it comes to German beers. They care about the styles, and whether they’re authentic. If they’re brewed in Germany, it doesn’t matter.

Hazy, pale beer with sapphir hop but nevertheless little aroma. Taste is more bitter than fresh. Aftertaste is sharpish. Not really my thing.

Barwa jasna zlota. Ciekawe i sporo treściwsze w smaku niż niektóre orginaly prosto z Koln.

Bottle, 330 ml, courtesy of and shared with JFK10000. Clear golden, short lasting white head. Malty, some citrus hoppy notes, but so light bodied that it feels like a free falling down the chasm. Starts ok, but takes a wrong turn somewhere along the way.

16 July 2016, tap. Light yellow, clear, some steady bubbles. Nose is sweet lemon and straw. Thin body and moderately fizzy. Lemon candy, some butter dried grass, and straw. Decent.

Light in color, rich in flavor. A sturdy bitterness leaning of a molasses base, with a balanced amount of hops. A bit of acidy citrus, a little woody. Gives a rich taste and an enjoyable moment.

Bottle best by Apr. 30, 2015, consumed Sept. 2014. Pale yellow with some haze. Wispy, fine-bubbled head shows good retention. Bright hopcentric aromas of lemon zest, melon rind, lime, fennel seed, grass clippings and hints of piecrust maltiness, fresh baked bread, and resin. Soft, fine carbonation. Notably soft and elegant hop oils merge with equally soft, crackery and haylike pils malt. Plentiful lemon notes saturate the palate with admirable luster, as hints of hay dust testify to the expertly extracted malt. Traces of resin weigh the body down to the detriment of the finer, more-nuanced malt and hop details. Otherwise the body remains very lean and clean, yet with just enough soul contributed by a pistachiolike yeast note. Soft, grassy, well-attenuated finish is smattered with oily hops and pillowy, fresh breadlike pils malt. A tad resinous for me (not quite to the excessive levels of their "Palor", thankfully), but this is a very dynamic and enjoyable New World kölsch teeming with Saphir vibrancy.

First beer consumed in Germany since 2003 maybe. Poured from a bottle. Just a tinge of cloudiness in a murky yellow, sudsy quick-dissolving head, little lacing. Sweet hoppy aroma, better-than-average pilsner taste.

Kein Nachgeschmack. Insgesamt nicht mein Bier aber ganz gut wenn man mal was Bittereres will.

Flasche gekauft im LaFayette, Berlin. Goldgelb, fingerbreit Schaum. Aroma: Hopfen, Zitrone. Ananas

Drank in bottle from Getränke Hoffman Berlin (tauentzuenstrasse). Fruity with nice citrus aroma. Light beer easy to drink. Mild hops.
