COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hopfen: Magnum, Saphir Malz: Münchner, Karamell-, Röstmalz Darkon is inspired by traditional recipes. Nothing but dark malts, are used to create the characteristically mild roasted aromas of bitter chocolate and toffee. Darkon besinnt sich auf die traditionelle Herstellung der Schwarzbiere und wird ausschließlich mit dunklen Malzen gebraut. Für milde Röstaromen wird ein Teil des Malzes im Trommelröstverfahren hergestellt.

This seems to be the darth vader of beers. It is dark, black and a classic. It has roast aroma, coffee, toffee (mildly) and a great fitting bitterness. A tturly majestic aftertaste. A great beer on the top twenty.

Pours beautiful black color with a very nice beige head. nose is a little sweet and sour (roasted barley). medium body, smooth and medium carbonation. The beer is very enjoyable and is just as a German quality schwarzbier should be. Recommend. Got it in Berlin in Kaufhof Galerie at Alexanderplatz.

Botella de 330ml. Copa de Vino. Saboreada en jun´12. Color ámbar muy oscuro. Espuma beige y de burbuja pequeña. Capa persistente y tupida. Aromas de maltas torrefactas, notas de corteza de pan y cacao. Suave entrada de maltas torrefactas sobre una base de lúpulo que aporta sabor afrutado y gentil amargor. Cuerpo medio-intenso y carbonatación baja. Paladar cremoso. Deliciosa y bien equilibrada cerveza. 330ml bottle. Oversized glass. Enjoyed on jun´12. Very dark amber color. Beige, small bubbled froth. Lasting close head. Roasted malts, notes of bready crust & hints of cocoa to the nose. Smooth roasted malty upfront over hoppy backbone that provides fruity & gentle bitterness. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel. Delightful well balanced beer.

Pours a light/reddish brown color with a big off-white head. Little carbonation and thus easily drinkable. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate and caramel. The finish is a bit bitter. Very interesting beer.

65cl bottle pours with a clear dark mahogany body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up chocolate malts and then a mix of caramel malts and dark roasted malts and just a bit earthiness too. The taste is straight up rich and yummy dark chocolate and dark roasted coffee that somehow offers a smooth mouth feel. It picks up an additional note of caramel malts but basically remains the same right into the finish. The taste has some great flavor as I’m really enjoying the chocolate and coffee notes. Nice!

The bottle looks incredible good. Thats the way a bottle has to look if you exspect something special in it. Beer in the glass very dark, not black, nice head. Malty aroma with caramel hints. Starts soft-malty, not too roasty, soft as velvet, modest sweet. Finish is very well balanced, a bit warming, modest sweet. Caramel notes appear again. Wonderful beer, hope the other BraufactuM beers are as good as this one!

courtesy of Philipp and Thomas - clean very dark brown beer with a firm beige foam left; nice lacework; very toasted malty aroma with notes of ashes and vanilla; light hints of walnuts; creamy palate and a low carbonation; gently sweet; hints of licorice and ashes in the finish

It’s black with a beautiful red hue and a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, dark syrup, dark fruits (including prunes), nuts and caramel. The sweet flavor has notes of licorice, dark fruit, roasted malt, chocolate, syrup and caramel, and the finish is rather dry - it’s delicious!
