Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours black with some rare red hints and the nice beige layer of scum. Malty roasted aroma, not so strong, maybe some dark chocolate or cacau. The taste malty, more roasted malts with some backing bitterness more likely coming from the use of schwartzmalz rather than hops. The texture is very smooth and the carb low, and I think I would guess this would be a stout in a blind test. I am not overly fond of this beer type, I think it is one of those you should drink in situ to really enjoy, but it is a nice example of the type. Would prefer more bubbles in it, the flatness of it makes it tiresome in the long run.

Bottle. The Darkon keeps what the name promises. Colored deep dark brown with a brown creamy head is the rich aroma dominated by dark malt offering strong roasty notes with coffee and dark chocolate as well as as hints of plum and sherry. Mostly dry just with some slight sweetness in the beginning the Darkon gets bitter in the end. The flavor continues to be roasty while some hints of bread join into the composition, which is embodied into medium body with medium carbonation. After the dry bitter finish the Darkon leaves the palate with a long aftertaste of roast and coffee.

L: -pours a clear dark brown with a big creamy, beige head -medium carbonation visible -way too light in colour for a Schwarzbier .nice viscosity S: -earthy,black bread, roasty T: -Follows the nose plus licquorice, prunes and a slight coffee note F: light-medium carbonation,light-medium body O: I was sort of lukewarm to this. Its a solid Schwarzbier, but considering it costs 3-4 times as much as other, better Schwarzbiers is a serious downer

Couleur noire, belle mousse jaune/beige.
