COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Stilbeschreibung: India Pale Ale ist Anfang des 18. Jahrhunderts entstanden. Nachhaltiges Finish.

Bottled. A murky dark golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and straw as well as lighter notes of fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of fruits among them lemons, and malt, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Pours copper orange with a sudsy white head that quickly returns from whence it came. Strong aroma of bananas, lotion (sunscreen?), clove and a bit of citrussy grapefruit. Medium, crisp body with flavors of sweet malt, fruit (mango/pineapple?), a little must and a phenolic/cheesy finish due to age and, like so much of the bottled beer in Munich, poor storage = light struck and oxidized. A very different take on an IPA but not my favorite.

+ Prachtig goud kleurig, ziet eruit als vloeibare honing. Schuim normaal, iets te snel weg. + Geur erg fruitig en fris. + 1ste smaak - zachte karamel, 2de smaak - ligt fruitig, 3de smaak - ligt bitter.

ClubGonzo (1969) - Bergen, NORWAY - FEB 7, 2012
Bottle from Galeria Kaufmarkt, Berlin, shared with Foffern. Hazy dense orange body, medium off-white head. Aroma is wheat, hints of grass and wet leaves. A bit faint. Taste is strange earthy leafy tones, wheat and hints of pale malts and citrus. Full-bodied, but it leaves me with a parching mouthfeel, severely affecting the only thing this beer could have going for it - drinkability. Strange, and not too successful. Although not bad, this is a beer that goes nowhere while giving the impression that it actually goes...well, somewhere.

Bottle shared with ClubGonzo. Poures a very hazy orange colour with a very small off-white head that lasts. The first thing that hits me in the nose is a touch of belgian yeast before a typical IPA-aroma of a fruity sweetness of grapefruit arrives. Not a very hoppy aroma, leaving with some grains. I think the flavours are quite indefinable, but there are some grassy hops, wheat and hint of alcohol. The aftertaste is rather strange and a bit unpleasant. It ends somewhat dry with a light to medium bitterness. It’s thinner and more watery in the mouthfeel than expected, but mostly slick. Overall this was something else of an ale, but not directly a good one. The flavour feels very unbalanced and appears stuttering.

EithCubes (3339) - GERMANY - DEC 22, 2011
Bottle by 31.03.2013. Lovely floral nose very big on the exotic, tropical fruit with caramel malt and hard crystal malt. Cloudy orange with a jiggling tan head. Strong bitter taste spiked with resin on top of the citrus, pointedly hoppy with gritty dryness, the caramel pushed off. Medium-full body. Not getting into this one so much, doesn’t seem to be very repeatable.

Bottle. [thanks Søren]
Pours muddy orange with a lovely, creamy, staying, white head. Aroma has grapefruit, citric hops, some crisp malts on top of clear wheaty sweetness. Highish carbonation, fine dry and a bit light mouthfeel. Flavour starts a bit sharpish with a hint of metal, then adds good hoppy dryness and sweet wheat. Some grapefruit flavours. Good beer, even if the dry-hopping gives the most of an experience.
