COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Weiches Wasser, angenehme Rezenz.

650 ml bottle, from CITTI-Markt Flensburg. BB-date today. ABV is 5.5%. Hop is Herkules. Beautiful copper colour, large off-white head. Aroma of malts and caramel. Fairly refreshing flavour, malts, caramel (but not very sweet) and decent herbal hops throughout. A fine Märzen, but also more expensive than the bulk of them.

665ml bottle (expiry 4-8-15) from Karstedt food hall in Hamburg. A clear copper brown beer with a stable beige head that laces well. Aroma has toasty caramel malts with hints of dried dark fruits, citrus, nuts and coffee. Palate is slick and medium bodied with sweet malty flavours and and a mild citrusy dry hop finish. A smooth and sessionable Marzen. Mind you it costs about four tmes as much as mainstream beers in Germany.
