3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
(bottle, 35.5cl) Clear, deep golden to amber colour with a medium-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Cara-malty and delicately bready aroma with mildly herbal and grapefruity hops. Slightly sweet and bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dry cara-malt character with fruity and herbal, also a bit floral hops, leading into a dry and mildly bitter finish. Easy-going, but unspectacular Ale. 29.VI.13

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Light amber coloured with a medium white head. Aroma of citrus, and also hints of spices and vine - a bit musty. At first flavours of tropical fruits, raspberries and citrus with a good bitterness. Dry finish, long lasting fruity taste but could need some more sweetness for balance.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle 355ml kindly shared by Dominique. Golden beer with low head. Nose is low, aroma is on light malt, low hops flavour, just relative bitterness, touch of honey and lavender. Long bitterness on after-taste, just refreshing, quite dry.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
355ml bottle, 5.2% a/v
Brought from Germany from my folks visit over there. Pours a light coppery gold color, with an aroma of citrus and pine hops, a little bit of grassy character too. Taste is a slightly hoppier than average for what I was expecting, a nice hop blend but backed by a good malt backbone as well! Palate is a perfect level of hops which sits on your tongue for awhile making you want more, carbonation level is also perfect for this beer.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle 0.33l. Pours a clear copper with a white head that vanishes rather fast. Aroma is grassy, some hops and metal. Not too appealing. Taste is dry, quite bitter, little malt. Hops could be much more present. A bit watery. Overall okay but much too pricey.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks Tom L. Clear deep golden with an off-white head. Aroma of mild floral hops, slightly citric. Flavor has a bit of malt sweetness, slightly grainy and a moderate hoppy bitterness, a bit floral and citric. Medium-bodied. Alright.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
35.5cl bottle, picked up at Rudat in Dortmund, pours with a crystal clear copper body with golden hues and supporting an off white head of foam. The aroma emits an inviting mix of spicy hops, dank earthy onion hops, and citrus flowing into malt sweetened citrus hard candy notes. OK, this is yum. The Pale offers up firm grapefruit and clementine citrus notes and onion and shallot like earthy dank hoppiness that are supported by a complimentary malty sweetness. This is all coming together wonderfully. This is rich, balanced, hoppy, bitter, smooth and refreshing. I love this. Terrific Pale, was I even drinking the same beer as these other raters? Wow! I’ve had a bunch of the best Pales available and this one is right there with ’em. Try it fresh and you’ll see.
