Stilbeschreibung: India Pale Ale entstand Anfang des 18. Jahrhunderts.

dark golden to orange colour, huge, long lasting off-white head; aroma of biscuit, caramel, apricot and slight citrusy-tropical fruity notes, similar taste with some piney notes and alcohol - a bit too sweet IPA, but very drinkable

Aroma: citrus, hay, grass; Appearance: pale dark gold, large foamy head; Taste: medium sweetness, slight bitterness, slight sourness; Palate: abrupt finish, fizzy carbonation, slick texture, average body Adding Hallertauer hop to this beer completely spoilt it... Instead of a decent malty IPA you get a sweet IPA-lager hybrid tailor-made for the taste of a typical Wurst and Sauerkraut eater. German hops just don’t go well with IPAs. Should have just added more Magnum and Citra. Disappointing, definitely not worth 10 Euro for a 750 ml bottle.

Clear ruby body with no head. Aroma has light alcohol character with dark fruits, very light notes of prune and black currant, high caramel notes, candi sugar, light rum barrel background. Taste has high caramel sweetness, alcohol after taste, medium, almost astringent long lasting bitterness. Body is full, oily texture, pretty low carbonation.

330 ml, bottle No. 1071, from CITTI-Markt Flensburg. BB date 30.11.2013. ABV is 6.8%. Malts are Pilsener, Wiener and Caramel. Hops are Magnum, Hallertauer Mittelfrüh and Citra. Hazy amber colour, moderate white head. Pleasant aroma of herbal and fruity hops, hints of caramel and orange marmalade. Smooth and pleasant flavour, with the same elements as the aroma, but the bitterness is hardly solid enough for an IPA. Slightly warming mouthfeel. Disregarding style, this is a beer I’d be happy to buy again.

Fat på Bierhaus i Sthlm. Bärnstensfärgad öl med lättare vitt skum. Lätt fruktighet och viss maltighet. Viss karamell och lätt citrusfruktighet. En tam IPA.
