Hopfen: Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, Citra, Magnum Malz: Pilsener, Wiener, Karamellmalz With Progusta, the types of hops used come to the fore, and harmonize perfectly with the bitter note. The hoppy aroma can be attributed to the American Citra and German Hallertauer Mittelfrüh varieties, which complement each other beautifully. The sweetness remaining after fermentation forms a nice interplay with the bitter note.

Hazy orange - gold beer, big cream colour head. Palate is airy and mildly dry. Decent fine carbonation. Light malts, mildly sweet. Semi sweet floralness. Mild hop spice. Modest orange citrus and orange peel. Banana esters underneath. Mild grapefruit. Smooth finish. Estery linger. Smooth and drinkable but I really wanted more hop.

Bottle from Galeria Kaufhof, Köln
Hazy amber color, with a medium-sized creamy head. The aroma is fresh and hoppy; at first there is some Hallertau, then more of the Citra, but the blend is interesting, not so lemony as a pure Citra hopping, more creamy; later, it’s even biscuity (must come from the malts). Good body strength, with a smooth mouthfeel; some dry toffee is the dominant flavor, different from American IPA’s, and it’s appreciated for being dry, basically; the hopping is quite strong, with nice fruity presence (bitter oranges). Notice the usage of Pilsner Malt, Wiener Malt, Caramelmalt. The final is bitter, well constructed yet bone dry, with a very light astringency.
A very interesting new version of IPA, cultural crossover.
