COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

[Tap] Listed as ’Braufactum Rauch Weizen’. Cloudy pour is deep brown in color. Average amount of head on top. Aromas of smoky malts, meat, caramel and grains. Flavors of smoke, vanilla, wheat malt sweetness, banana and bacon. Lingering sweet and smokey finish. Balance is decent. Creamy mouthfeel. Tasting notes from 10/2014.

Bottle, shared with Dave. Tea coloured amber, off white head. Sweet caramel, fruity/estery undertones, with a kiss of meaty smoke. Nice enough.

Poured from the tap. Murky medium dark brown with beige head. Light caramel, plum and fig with a very light, subtle smoke. Feels a little safe, flavour dissipates quickly in the mouth.

UPDATED: FEB 1, 2015 On tap. Murky, amberish/brown liquid, with a thick off white head. Nose is a bit faint, smells of toffee, biscuits, raisins, a hint of charcoal, a hint of pear and banana. In the mouth is medium dry, not sweet at all, with the roastiness really shining through. Overall an interesting beer, worth a try.

on tap at Monks Table Aroma: soft , tad creamy with smooth mild smoke hints. Dark German wheat feel behind.
Look: came with large lasting creamy cap. Cloudy dark amber bottom. Taste/Palate/Body: soft , heavy creamy feel. Smoke is bit understated. Creamy feel covers and numbs the experience. Ok, expected more.

On tap at beer bistro. The aroma and appearance of the beer is fantastic. The smokiness is strong but the taste does note et those same standards. Good overall though.

Light brown pour with tan head. Aroma of Ash, caramel, peat, toast. Medium bodied, roasted malts, light Smoked malt flavour, but not as up front as I’d like. Finish is a bit lacking.
