Scopey (1659) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 8, 2011
Bottle at post-WSF 2011 tasting, thanks to fonefan. It pours hazy golden yellow, with a thin, fizzy white head. The nose is wheat, spice, ginger, rubber and farmyard. The taste is orange, lime, peach, lemon zest, plastic, metal and grass, with very dry finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Not my thing at all.

(swing top bottle, 14. Maroder Kürbismarkt 2010) Cloudy, orange to golden colour with a tall but diminishing and slightly off-white frothy head. Yeasty and slightly wheaty aroma with notes of apricots and citrus, accompanied by hoppy and phenolic spices. Mildly sweet and slightly sour flavour, light to medium bodied with a sparkling carbonation. Slightly wheaty and (cara-)malty taste with notes of citrus; bitter-sweet slightly fruity and phenolic finish with present hoppy notes. 06.VII.11

Bügelverschlußflasche (thanx to Koelschtrinker!): Cloudy, deep golden to orangey coloured, big - slowly collapsing - off-white fluffy head; citrussy-wheaty-phenolic nose with a distinctive touch of yeast and - surprise - hops; soft, almost medium bodied, moderate sourish-bitter flavour; citrussy and hoppy finish. Not bad at all. A Weizen with a nice "Duvel"-touch.....

Koelschtrinker (7038) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 24, 2011
Süffig herber Antrunk, deutlich süß, vergleichsweise wenig hefig. Im Mittelteil deutlich bitterer, Getreide, im Hintergrund wässrig. Bitter-wässriger Abgang. /11/10/11//11
