Draft. Clear dark amber color, medium beige head. Aroma of caramel. Taste is sweet and malty. Plain.

Draught at the bräuhaus
Hazy dark amber color; creamy head. Mild aroma of caramel and yeast, lightly fruity. Mild caramel flavor with very light tones of roasted malt; the mouthfeel is quite smooth; the bitterness is low, the final is a bit dusty.
Although not bad, it’s a somehow boring.

On tap at the brewpub in Kaiserslautern, Germany. This pours a amber color with a soft off white head. Aroma is malt and spices. Taste is a bit too out of the normal Alt and it is way too light. Palate is smooth and it is more of a Viena than an Alt.

Tap. Chocolate caramel malt and grassy hops aroma. Cloudy dark brown color with moderate head. Astringent caramel malt flavor. Sharper than the average dunkel but it works - a nice beer.

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. Copper colour, medium off-white head. Roasted malt aroma and some fruitiness with hints of strawberries, and some grassy hops. Medium bodied and very smooth. Slightly sweet with moderate bitterness. Quite nice.
