The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Zippy, nice head. Starts strong, modest hoppy, a bit dry. Sourish notes in the background make the beer interesting. The finish shows malty-spicy notes. All in all well balanced. Not bad!
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Koelschtrinker (7038) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 1, 2011
8/9/11/12/9/11

Hopfig-brotiger nicht ganz so erbaulicher Duft. Hopfiger Beginn. In der Mitte brotig-würzig mit malzigen Aspekten. Im Abgang durchschnittlich herb und trocken. Geht so.Test vom 22.12.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Orange-reddish beer with a slightly dark brown tone. It forms a large head. The smell is malty and fruity, but very discreetly. Starts malty, mild sweet, a little clove aroma comes through. The aftertaste is strong hoppy bitter, almost the complete opposite to the beginning part.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Maria (8576) - Thisted, DENMARK - APR 21, 2010
It’s dark-golden with a creamy, white head. The aroma has notes of malt, grain and grass. The flavour is slightly sweet with notes of malt, grain, straw and I find some citrussy hops in the dry finish. It’s quite nice.

Bottel from Quack-Duck, thanks! Golden color. Malty bready hay-like aroma. Malty bready grassy flavor with a hint of butter. Grassy hopbitter finish. Medium to full bodied. Fairly dry, in spite of the huge maltiness. Well done.

Tasting at Papsø’s Deep blond color. Simple aroma, but the malt flavor backbone is reasonably good. Correct bitterness, for a correct brew.
