(6/20/08) Draught at the brewpub in Berlin. Brown-colored with a medium off-white head. Aroma of toasted malt and caramel. Sweetish malty flavor with roasted notes, caramel and maybe light metallic hints. A bit drier towards the finish. Medium-bodied. An OK Dunkel.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy brown with a collapsing tan head. Liqourice and roasted malt aroma. Light breadish. Flavour is mild liqourice hops flavoured. Dry caramel malt base. Light bitterness coming through. Ends medium dry and bitter. Clean and delicious.

Draught at the brewpub. Sweetish, a hint of dark fruit, prunes perhaps, but it does not really go anywhere, and it is to thin to cope with a salty bretzel.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy deep copper, creamy beige head. Nutty, caramelly, fudgy, some roasted notes, and herbal hops. Smooth mouthfeel. Well balanced with a dry and bitter finish.
