On draught at Brauhaus Mitte, Berlin, March 2009. No ABV stated. Cloudy orange/amber colour. Big fluffy head. Some toffee with a touch of bitterness. Much like the Lemke Marzen. Now that the two places are under the same management perhaps a very similar recipe is used?

Vom Faß im Brauhaus Mitte, Berlin. Low offwhite head. Body is hazed, dark amber colored. Grainy, light bready malts to the nose. Some caramel and a whiff earthy hops. Much of the same flavorwise, with a sourish-fruity twist in addition. Good body. Fresh malty and crisp fruity ending. Highly drinkable, and almost as good as the neighbour’s (Lemke) Märzen.

Marko (3932) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - MAR 10, 2010
Draught at the brewpub. Poured a murky orange-brown body with a slightly off white head. Orangey, woody sweet malty nose. Orangey woody malty nose, mixed notes of pollen and honey (nice). The best of their beers, and a really good Märzen though not on the level of the Lemke one I’ve had before it.

Draught. Orange mixed with Amber. Fluffy short lasting head. Aroma of orange, a little sour. Flavour has plenty of orange and finishes bitter. Long palate.

06/03 Draught at the brewpub. It had orange body with medium sized head. Sweeter biscuit malt and dry herbal and orange hops in aroma. Flavor was really fine, Orange and caramel flavor, not too sweet as it might seem from these notes, rather very balanced. Notes of wood as well. Medium bodied brew. Its finish was longer sweetish caramel and very nice. Good one. Oh, and I really like this fine lager style, very much unlike Austrian Marzens!

tomer (1697) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - MAR 24, 2010
Draught at thr brewpub, long lasting head with some lacing, a little hazy very dark orange colour, aroma of dark bread and biscuit, same traits in the aroma with with notes of barnyard supporting and medium bitterness all leading to a long lasting aftertase. Very good.
