Test vom 3.1.2011, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,12,11,10,11,11 - 10,90

Little cloudy orange beer, big creamy off-white head, very stable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet malts, some caramel, bit spicy, little fruity, sauerkraut. MF: soft carbon, light to medium body. Taste: quite some banana, bit of citrus, carbon sour, little bitter. Aftertaste: more banana, bit spicy, bready yeast.

Bottle, thanks Pivnizub. Cloudy dark amber, big golden head. Light bitter speciality grain edges, on a fruity base with spices and salt - banana, apple, tomato?, clove, pepper. Chewy body, dry finish. Fresh and different.

(swing top bottle) Cloudy, chestnut-brown colour with a big and tanned foamy head. Yeasty and distinctively banana-fruity aroma with cara-malty and wheaty notes, accompanied by bearable phenolic spices. Slightly sweet flavour with a tinge of sourness, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Bready and mildly toast-malty taste with notes of caramel, fruity esters and a sour-wheaty touch; finishes toasty and wheaty like a Dunkelweizen with delicately sour fruity notes. Rounded and quite complex brew. 07.V.12

Bügelverschlußflasche, bei der Brauerei gekauft: Hazy, reddish-amber coloured, mid-sized -slowly collapsing- brownish head, soft and moderate sweet grainy nose with bready and bananey-fruity notes; moderate sweet sour flavour, smooth; lingering sweet-sourish fruity and almost a bit vinous finish. Very well rounded stuff…

bottle from pivnizub - danke! Cloudy pale brown colour, big off-white head. Grainy malt flavours, biscuity, wholemeal-bread flavours with a shy fruity touch and a hint of yeast. Very interesting and good.

(bottle) pours a very murky amber-brown colour with some floaties and a frothy off-white head. aroma of heavy canned peaches, slightly meaty, with hints of vanilla, grain and light herbal hops. flavour is mostly grain and hazelnuts, with a light roasted-malty touch, again some peaches and a chewy finish. medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation.

Very cloudy with an off-white head. Yeast and rye smack you pretty hard. Impressive, and it’s on my "to try again" list.

On tap in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. A nice malty and wheaty beer. A little sweet and fruity. Pretty good.
