COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Black Sheep IPA is what you get when four brewers from three different continents collaborate and hit the beer scene in Freiburg. It has an abv of 6.9% yet it is dangerously smooth. Amarillo and Simcoe hops give our beer an explosion of flowery and citrus aroma, backed by a spicy finish that leaves you longing for another sip. The base malt is an even mixture of German Pilsner and American Two Row sprinkled with some Munich and hints of Vienna Malts that add to the malt complexity. The Black Sheep IPA is the first craft beer from Freiburg, it is brewed according to the Reinheitsgebot with a color, aroma, and taste all its own. It is massively hopped, unabashedly bold, and uniquely refreshing making it a beer unlike the rest of the flock! Enjoy – Cheers.

Courtesy of Jaghana Couleur jaune trouble, petite mousse blanche. Nez houblonné resineux, fruité et agrumes. Gout fruité, agrumes , exotiques, avec amertume houblonnée plutot légère pour une ipa, mais bonne.

330 ml bottle shared by Werckmeister at RB Tasting Vienna March Edition. Thanks!
Amber, hazy body, with a medium creamy, off-white head.
Aroma with a lot of citrus and grapefruit, some berries, some stone fruits, sweet malts.
Taste is also citrus/grapefruit dominated, with some grass and pine notes, slight biscuit.
Quite light mouthfeel, with a low carbonation.
Finishes bitter, quite dry, zesty, piney, a bit fruity and a bit sweet malty.

Very nice. Overall nothing outstanding, but well balanced and not as malty as many German IPAs. The big citrus/grapefruit aroma is really enjoyable.

Aroma: grass, lemon; Appearance: pale orange, average head; Taste: intense bitterness, slight sweetness, slight sourness; Palate: average carbonation, bitter finish, light body, slick texture Lacking in citrus aromas, made thin as most German IPAs by adding wheat malt, drinkable, fresh, average

So etwas gefällt mir. Schön fruchtig und dabei dennoch mit einem herben Charakter gesegnet. Hier und da schlägt zudem der Hopfen zu und drängt die Mandarinen ein klein wenig zurück. Feines Piwo.
