Thick, dense head, colour of coffeemeilk; hazy redbrown-amber beer. Rich, meaty nose, lactic (not sourish), ASAFŒTIDA (must be the first beer with THAT particular aroma), cheesy hops. Oily flavour, banana, caramel, with just a bitterish roundoff. Citrus, cakey, but oily and again oriental, the asafœtida returning in the aftertaste. Quite well-bodied, slick to oily, well-carbonated. Smells for all the world (at least to me) as a fresh papadum, tastes as a bitter oriental fry... Not my cup of India tea...

bottle from Bierzwerg. Cloudy amber-copper, creamy off-white head. Lovely aroma of tropcial fruit. Full-bodied, pleasantly malty and sweet to complement the immense hop flavours: bitter, resiny, with loads of fruit. Delicious and perfectly balanced beer with a smooth and velvety palate.

Draught at Berlin Bar. High creamy and lasting off-white head. Hazy dark amber body. Soapy vedgetables aroma. Higyly carbonated citrussy dry hoppy flavor. Long bitter dry finish. Alcohol well hidden by the bitterness.

330 ml bottle. BB 10/06/2014. From Erzengel. Vielen Dank!
Cloudy reddish amber colour with a hu-u-u-u-uge foamy off-white head. Hoppy aroma with rosehip, fruits, flowers, biscuit, sweetness, malt and mild yeast. Not much bitterness. The flavour is a bit more bitter but also quite a lot sweeter. Sweet fruity and floral hops, sweet maltiness, mild yeast and a note of alcohol in the flavour. Very soft carbonation. The empty bottle weighs a ton.

33cl bottle, picked up at Bierzwerg, pours with a clear deep gold body and copper hues supporting a lemon meringue like half inch off white head. The aroma offers up some malt sweetened citrus, some faint tropical fruit and then a dash of earthy tea. The taste has a mix of blood orange, tangerine and mango with both malt sweetened hop flavor and a fairly firm level of hop bitterness. It gets a little floral around the edges at the same time the citrus and pear and tropical notes get juicier. The floral hops come forward from time to time with a touch of earthy tea notes and provides a nice mix of flavors. This has a pleasing body and richness and is a darn tasty brew.
