3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from bier-deluxe.de. Dark copper, hazy body, with a big, frothy, white head, that leaves some lacing. Aroma of strawberry, flowers, tangerine, citrus, grass, biscuit. Taste is bitter, with grapefruit, pine, resin, also some red fruits, strong malt backbone, with grass, biscuit, some herbs. Mouthfeel is medium, slick, with a medium carbonation and it finishes strong bitter, dry, with grapefruit peel, pine, grass, herbs. Nice, interesting! While the smell is sweet, fruity and malty, the taste has a pretty harsh hop bite, but also a strong malt backbone to balance the bitter, piney notes. Another very good IPA by this brewery!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled. Dark amber, brownish colot, big head. Nice, very fresh hop aroma has sweet tangerines, mango, some green grapes and floral notes. Malty, medium dry flavor with pale caramel and biscuit flavors in the finish. Round, but effective and intensifying bitterness. Resiny, long aftertaste. Very nice balance. Medium body, silky but maybe slightly overcarbonated texture.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
The fruity character is missing or better Not as expected. But nevertheless it s just a copy of ca IPA. So Not Bad for a German IPA. The Other braukunstkeller beers are better though.

2x33cl bb 06/2014 over 2 months. Pours a brackish black tea with shy lively head. Contained, Not all that much of a fruity or exotic nose, some malt fumes. All of this beer’s stakes are in a very rich and harmonious interplay of C-hops and above all nice integration of Chinook: pine and resin has a sharp, but tasty edge here. Part of the fruit salad: pickled grapefruit, peach peel, indeed spruce, as suggested. Back is quite some caramalt, but the yeast is working hard to keep it all dry. Appreciate the balance, especially considering the potentially harsh centennials and chinooks - but this remains very much a DE/US crossover.
