Editor’s note: IBU increased from 60 to 74 and ABV went from 6.6 to 6.2 (late 2013)

Smells nice, little citrus and some caramel. Kinda soft carbonation though, and the mouthfeel is a little watery. Nice hint of some toasted malt though. Darker than I expected. Not bad.

Bottle from Die Bierothek, Bamberg. Deep gold with a decent, white, head. Tropical fruits, Earl Grey tea and peppery hops aroma. Crisp, slightly herbal flavours, with more tea than fruit, before a lengthy bitter finish. An IPA with big character.

Very good, thick yellowish head over veiled reddish-orange to amber beer. Cheesy hops, making it a tad oppressive. Some exotic fruit, mainly passion and lunaria. BItter, again slightly cheesy, faintly roasted. Lightly burned caramel; long bitter, nearly quinine-like bitterness. Better bodied than most IPA’s of comparable strength, velvety, but well-carbonated too. Aftertaste still the same bitterness, bordering on the metallic. Not a very subtle one.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks David C. Hazy reddish amber with a big off-white head. Aroma of malt, some piney hops and a bit of fruitiness. Flavor has some malt, a caramel note, piney hops and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

Amber orange in colour with a dark white small frothy head. On the nose aromas of grapefruit are predominant with hints of orange and faint litschi with some floral citrus notes all well balanced with some maltiness and light caramel notes. Lightly lively texture offering light sweetness light acidity and a dominant hop bitterness. Medium body and dry tartness as finish.

It has a lot of fruity notes in aroma: pineapple, papaya, pitch. It’s amber color, a bit hazy, with small head but good lacing. It’s very sweet in taste. This sweetness is so so long. It stays in the mouth like for ever. But then, just out of nowhere it turns in to awesome bitterness. It’s like ’the other way’. The sweetness is moderated by bitterness. Great one!

330ml bottle from Bier-Deluxe

Fresh citrus fruity aroma. Orange coloured with a big foamy head. Fruity flavour and a bit dry. Braukunstkeller IPAs after two feels better compared to other craft brewerys from Germany what I have tried.

0,33 l bottle from Salling, Aalborg. ABV is 6,1%. Muddy nut orange body with a large light brown head leaving speckled laces. Tropical fruits, lime, marmelade, raisin, spruce and pollen on the nose. Inviting. Fruity, light salty bitterness on a malty backbone. Medium bodied, smooth. Good beer.

Bottle. Copper clear. Good caramel malty, citrusy, slight green, hoppy nose. Dry, nicely bittered body. Toffee, berryish malty flavours. Real nice ipa, probably the best I’be stumbled upon from Germany.
