COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Beershine (4712) - The Sunshine State, USA - MAR 2, 2011
Draft @ brewpub. Looks like a weizen, cloudy dull dark orange-brown with stable head. Aroma is interesting, not like a weizen. Is very fruity with white grape, plum, pear, and apple. Served a bit too cold but is nice. Has a certainly yeasty body and character. Is a bit doughy. Has an oatmeal cookie dough character with some mild spiciness and light dash of nutmeg and golden raisin. The yeastiness and doughiness make it difficult to imagine drinking a lot of, but it’s very fun to try.

Shared swingtop bottle at hotel room tasting, thanks to Rune. Hazy golden colour. Strong aroma of pale wort and honey. Tolerably malty flavour, but the hops are too moderate.

Courtesy of Rune. No head. Hazy yellow body. Fruity citrus aroma and body with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a short aftertaste.

One cold January Sunday (Jan 2012) afternoon I visited the brewpub and tried all four beers available: this being the third. It came semi-cloudy in a tall glass containing 0.3 litres, the head an off-white cap of bubbles, body wise the colour was pale amber. I don’t want to suggest this brewpub have one standard brew then tinker with the mash to produce slightly different beers, but that does appear to be the case as this could easily have been a blend of the Hell and Dunkel. A little more ‘yeasty’ in the smell and taste maybe; but otherwise very ‘samey’ to my first two beers in the bar. They advertise as being an ‘Alles Bio-Biere’ Brewery, if that makes any difference? Anyway I enjoyed it, even though I’d had two of its half brothers already that afternoon. It had more depth of body even though the alcohol level was down 0.1% ABV compared to the other beers.

0,5l bottle from Biomarkt. Pours pale yellow cloudy with enormous creamy head. The head is long lasting. Aromas are quite a few including, vanilla, jogurt, malts, and some earthy flavours. The palate is smooth due to good carbonation, the maltiness is subtle, with little acidic mouth feel not the taste. The middle flavours are slight abrupt and turn into a dry hoppy aftertaste. Finish is quite watery, short and dry. After adding the yeast from the bottom, changes into unfiltered dirty yellow colour. The taste gets little more balanced. It is quite refreshing beer with a fruity texture to it.

EithCubes (3339) - GERMANY - JAN 15, 2012
Swing-top by 16.03.2012. Nose with a light vanilla touch on top of wheat and barley grains, lemon pudding - very nice! Opaque golden with a creamy, even slightly leggy white head that shines. Taste is lightly tart and lightly sweet, very little bitterness at all, but lots of lemon and citrus, even some cracker. Sharp but not aggressive lightish body, simple and very quaffable!

larsga (4655) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 14, 2011
Medium white head. Hazy yellow body with carbonation. Delicate grainy wheaty aroma with milky strawy notes. Dry-sweetish mealy milky wheaty taste with strawy grainy minty notes. Very clean and fresh. Mild, soft, dusty mouthfeel. Dryish mealy grainy bubblegum aftertaste with minty fruity notes. Unusual, very clean and subdued, but nice and highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle, not sure where from.)
