UPDATED: SEP 30, 2008 Draught Good yellow-beige head, very fine & dense; clear amber-red beer. Acidic-vinous for a Barley Wine, sound hops, chocolate aromas. Dry to a certain acidity, CO² enhanced, more (milk)chocolate, very vinous again, tannins, even. Well-bodied, but not really full-bodied. Nice, but I prefer the Heritage. All the same, thumbs up , Jacob.

The colour is amber. Aroma is of bourbon, fruit, and apples, a bit of hops too. The flavor is full of bourbon, with a sweet finish full of fruit.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2008 Draught at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. Clear brown, small head. Tart oaky nose. Fruity and full bodied with compact mouthfeel Caramel is hidden amongst oaky vinous tones - a bit like a welll wooded chardonnay. Quite interesting.

From tap. Pours clear and golden amber with a lacing white head. Fruity hoppy and slight cornish aroma. Light acidic and mild hoppy base flavour with a solid malty base. Lingering smooth hoppy and light bitter finish. Light fruity too.

Draught, 100ml at EBF 08. White head over an amber-copper coloured body. Brandy-like smell with cherries. Lots of dark and dried fruits in flavour with a spicy support. Soft carbonation, but still quite dry in the mouth. Mostly hidden alcohol. Rather heavy to drink (14.09.2008).

EBF2008. It’s a beautiful, red bronze color and the aroma has notes of grapes. Wood and cumquat. The flavour has notes of wood, grapes, cumquat, lime and a hint of dry tannic acid. I would like a bit more malt, but it’s refreshing and different.

Draught at EBF08. Good malty raisin aroma. The flavour is oaky with faint vanilla. Almost clear dark amber colour. Citric, OK.
