Amber color. Good malt and caramel aroma. Good sweet caramel and malt taste too, correctly bitter. Straightforward but very pleasant.

May 10, 2008 Draught at Kobehavnske Oldage, May 2006, as Braunstein Spring Bock. Clear copper colour with a reddish tinge. Relatively dry, with some bready malt and caramel. Like most of the Braunstein beers I’ve tried this was a very clean beer but perhaps a little unadventurous. A very pleasant beer but not really very bock-like. Alcohol doesn’t show very strongly and, coupled with the fairly dry mouthfeel, this comes over more like a rather pale Dunkel or a Vienna.

Apr 22, 2008 Amber colour with small white head.Aroma of dark bread,caramel and slight fruity.Feels a littel thin and need some more power i guess but still a o.k beer.

Apr 9, 2008 Pours out in a clear amber colour with a low disappearing off-white foam. Sweet and rather clean malty aroma of caramel, sweet licorice, nuts and burnt sugar. Medium bodied with clean sweet flavours of mainly caramel and burnt sugar with undertones of milky chocolate, butter and sweet licorice. Long warming and sweet finish of caramel, butterscotch and alcohol. Rather one-dimensional brew, way too sweet and streamlined for me. Decent at best

Apr 5, 2008 (Draught at Plan B, Copenhagen, 27 March 2008. Labeled "Spring Bock") Dark amber colour with brief off-white head. Malty, slightly citric nose with notes of dried fruit, toffee and caramel. Malty taste with toffee, dried fruit and caramel. Sweetish, medium body. Short finish. Decent brew, but doesn’t leave a lasting impression.
