Tasted in 2009. Black with mahogany highlights and a small tan head. Aroma is of vanilla, wood, smoke, leather and coffee. Taste is of roasted malts, caramel, coffee, and tobacco.

RBESG 2009 @ Harlequin. Growler. Pours dark with minimal creamy brown head.Hard roasted malts dominate with vanilla and bourbon notes.Sweet roasty malt flavor, boozier but more cmplex than the plain version. Dry finish

[growler @ RBESG 2009, Grand Tasting] Potent black malt bubblegum aroma with some peat smoke and scotch tape plus oaky vanilla. Oily black with a light brown cover and dots. Slightly salty, peat smoky flavour with vanilla, meaty, and roasty accents. Also oaky vanilla character. Moderate bitterness from black malt. Velvety feel, low carbonation, slightly bitter finish.

bottle thanks to bu11zeye. poured black with a copper head that laced the glass. aroma of bourbon, chocolate syrup, coffee, and peat?? flavor was coffee, dark roasts, and peat??? light body.
